Wat is Play Unified?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Special Olympics Belgium bevrodert sociale inclusie dankzij het \u2018Play Unified\u2019 programma.  
In \u2018Play Unified\u2019 maken atleten met en zonder verstandelijke beperking deel uit van hetzelfde team.  
De atleet zonder verstandelijke beperking noemen we de unified partner.  
Als atleet en partner samen trainen en sporten zorgt dat voor wederzijds begrip.  
Samen sporten noemen we unified sporten. Het wakkert vriendschappen aan.  
Unified sporten haalt het beste uit de atleet en de partner naar boven.  
Leert de ene iets bij over techniek, dan krijgt de andere een lesje in beleving en overgave.  
Ongeveer 1,4 miljoen mensen wereldwijd nemen deel aan \u2018Unified Sports\u2019.  
Het is een leuke manier om taboes rond mensen met een verstandelijke beperking te doorbreken. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unified sporten kan je doen als ontspanning. We noemen dat recreatie.  
Unified sporten kan ook met wedstrijden. Dat noemen we dan competitie.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recreatie is open voor iedereen. Er zijn geen specifieke voorwaarden,  
Voor competitie zijn er bepaalde sportieve vaardigheden nodig. De atleet en de partner moeten kunnen deelnemen aan wedstrijden. 
Unified sporten maken al deel uit van de Nationale Spelen en de Wereldspelen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wat zijn de doelen van van unified sporten:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Erkenning en inclusie van atleten met een verstandelijke beperking door middel van sport; <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Participatie en betrokkenheid van valide personen als unified partner; <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      1. Persoonlijke ontwikkeling van de atleet en de unified partner. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Play Unified aanbieden als club, federatie, stad, gemeente of school?  <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Special Olympics Belgium kent het kwaliteitslabel \u2018Play Unified\u2019 toe aan clubs, federaties, steden en gemeenten, alsook aan andere partners zoals scholen … die inzetten op een kwalitatief sportaanbo.d Ze moeten bijdragen aan  de inclusie van atleten met een verstandelijke beperking door gezamenlijke sporttrainingen met valide atleten te organiseren. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
